Justin's twin

I knew I had been told that Reid looks like Justin and I thought so some, but when we started looking at the old pictures tonight I was convinced... Reid is Justin's twin. I can't get over how much they favor. I love that I can see Justin in Reid. I also know this makes Justin so proud..... We love that sweet boy so much and he is just growing up too fast.

My third hair cut

We took Reid to a new place today to get his hair cut and they did such a great job. She made sure he felt comfortable before she started. We gave Reid a sucker and he sat still almost the entire time. This was the first time he didn't cry through the whole thing.

This is the shortest his hair has been cut so far. I really like it. He looks like a little boy instead of a baby. We got home around noon and we put him down for nap. We had to go in and wake him up at 4 he was knocked out.

Not on purpose but I woke up at 5 am this morn right as Kate was stepping out of the car so of course I stayed up and watched the Royal Wedding and once they kissed I went back to sleep ha. Reid woke up at 6:30 so that might be why he was taking such a long nap.

So sad for the neighboring town I grew up in Smithville, MS they had an F5 tornado come through on Wed. The whole town has been destroyed and lives have been lost. My heart has been so heavy for them and I can't stop thinking about them and praying for them. One of the other tornado's came over my parents house in Wren, MS thank God my dad took cover and the tornado did not damage our house. A neighbor afterwards told my dad she saw the tornado pass right over the house. Thank you God he was spared.

Him and his daddy got matching hair cuts. I think they both look very handsome...

Easter Weekend

Easter was so wonderful for our family this year. I didn't realize till it was to late that we didn't get a family picture on this day. Seems like this day we were go go go. Sunday School and Church was so good. Every time someone would say the tomb is empty I just wanted to just up and down, clap my hands and say Praise God. He is alive....

We went to church and then went over to the Sullivan's house where we had a fantastic lunch with the Waltmans and Sullivans. They include us like family and we are so glad we have them.

We went to the church egg hunt on Saturday and Reid did not have much fun. He really wasn't interested in hunting eggs. He wanted to play with the toys that were out in the church yard. Plus the Easter Bunny didn't make him very happy either. He did ok during the music and worked on some of the crafts, but he would rather run the halls then sit and listen.

Here are some pictures of our weekend and some pictures of Kay-K giving Reid his Easter gifts....

Beach Get Away

Justin and I went to Orange Beach last weekend where we were able to enjoy some time away. Kay-K and Pop came to stay with Reid while we had a post anniversary get away. We try to go to the beach every year for our anniversary. Last year I missed Reid so much while we were gone that we got up bright and early on Sunday morning to be back home right when he woke up.

This year I missed him like crazy again and even teared up on Saturday; I was missing him so much, but it was different this time. Justin and I just marveled at how we could just sit in a restaurant and not rush or be completely stressed out hoping that the food would come quick for fear Reid would have a melt down soon. Reid is so hard to take out to eat right now. (therefore we don't go very often)

It was so nice to sit on the beach and just relax, no kids to chase nothing to do, but spend time together and play in the water. It was so windy that the waves were so big.

Justin had the best time playing in the water and riding the waves. I will say I was a little dissapointed at how brown and muddy the water looked. It wasn't what we were use to.

We had a great time and we so apprecaite Kay-K and Pop taking such great care of Reid while we were gone.

Cousins are the best

We went home a few weekends ago and we were able to go to the Amory Railroad Festival and hang out with my nephew Blake. We had a great time and Reid was able to ride his first train with his daddy. He liked it. It was so hot so we decided to let Reid and Blake swim. They had lots of fun and they loved playing with the big buckets. They just wanted to put the buckets on their heads. I can't wait till next year when Reid will really be able to play well with Blake. Mimi gave Reid Blake's John Deer tractor. Reid had lots of fun trying to learn how to ride it. Blake could just jump on it and drive all over the yard.

While we were there we were able to go and watch my other nephew Austin play ball. He is 13 years old and is an awesome ball player. Wish I could see him play more. We had a great time.

Here are some pictures from that weekend.
