35 weeks and Thanksgiving

Mimi and Granddaddy came and spent thanksgiving with us this year. It was very weird not to travel during the holidays this year, but nice at the same time. We skyped with Justin's parents and brother's family, but it really just wasn't the same. Justin and I kept telling each other how weird it was to just stay home. Reid had a great time with his mimi and granddaddy and believe it or not he loved playing with their dog too. She is such a sweet dog and would let Reid use her as his train track. We ate a lot and got a lot done around the house. We know Meg's birth is right around the corner and we are getting very excited. I will start my weekly visits to the doctor starting tomorrow.

Reid gets very attached to his mimi when she is here. He doesn't like to let her out of his sight and if he can't see her he runs through the house calling her name.  It was a hard goodbye Saturday. Reid was screaming for his mimi as she walked out the door. I think it was just as hard on mimi too.

These pictures were taken after church today.

trying to use the self timer..... can you say LARGE

Short but oh so sweet

We went to the doctor today and Meg is doing great. She is still showing to be a big baby. She is weighing 5lbs 6oz and the average weight for 34 weeks is 4lbs 3/4oz, but the bad news is she is still breach. Dr. Sams is saying that we will give her three more weeks to turn and if she doesn't then we will go in the hospital and try a maneuver to get her to turn and if she doesn't we will schedule a c-section the week after that. I know for most people c-sections are just part of it, but I really worry because of Reid and how hard that will be on him and me not being able to pick him up.

Our ultra sound tech is so wonderful. She turned the machine to 4d and we were able to see that sweet face and we were able to see her hair. You could see the sprigs standing up on her head it was so cute.

The cord looked like it was across her mouth so she asked me to turn on my side to see if we could get the cord to move and when I turned you can see Meg did not like that. She made the worst face when I turned over. We all had such a good laugh at her.

The more I look at this picture the more I think she looks like my niece Emily.
Can you tell she was not happy with me on my side?

33 weeks the big pumpkin

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I have one more 2 week appointment and then I will be going every week. Her nursery is finished and now we are just waiting on her glider to come in. Which won't be till sometime in January. Her mobile for the crib will be here this week.

I still feel great.. I feel like I look large, but I dont' feel it thank goodness. I have heartburn everyday but other than that nothing major. I go back to the doctor on Monday and we will do an ultra sound to check and see if she is still breach and get a weight check. Thank goodness I have only gained 5 lbs with this baby. I haven't had any contractions or braxton hicks. I didn't have any with Reid either.

We won't be traveling for the holidays this year since Meg will be here in less than 5 weeks. My parents will be here Thanksgiving and I can't wait to celebrate with them. We have so much to be thankful for this year.

Adventures with Kay-K and Pop

This is Pop and Kay-K's visit in pictures. We had such a good week with them. Poor Pop brings work clothes every time he comes and sees us. I  always have a list of projects we need help with. Kay,  she is a great baby sitter and organizer. Her favorite thing to do while she is here is to watch and play with Reid. I needed so much help this time around getting the nursery organized and all of the clothes organized and sorted by size. She helped me so much and I appreciate them more than I think they even realize.  While they were here we went to the New Orleans Zoo, trick or treating and to our church's fall festival.  Reid had a great week. These are pictures that Kay took from her camera. I will try and post some from my camera later.

Kay does her best to keep her eyes open.

Reid is obsessed with animals right now. He doesn't ever want to put his zebra and giraffe down. He is even hugging and kissing them he loves them so much. This is on the way to the zoo. He LOVED it.

Looking at the elephants and the monkeys.  The monkeys were so loud Reid was scared to death. Looking at his favorite animal the zebra. I love that last picture of Reid and Justin looking at the snakes.

I have to note that while Kay and I stepped away Justin let Reid touch a RAT!!!!!! I said why did you let him do that and he said because you walked away. ugh..... I can't stand them and think they are very nasty animals.  Reid did touch an alligator, sit on a train and then had a great time at dinner. Still playing with his animals. They have been the best baby sitter. ha

Reid and Claire playing after church while we had lunch. He reluctantly shared his animals with her at lunch. If he looked away she would grab one. They have their own language going on. I just love watching them play together now.  I think Pop and Reid have their own language also. Look at that conversation they have going on. So sweet... The last picture Reid is knocking on Kim's door; trick or treating for the first time. He didn't understand we weren't suppose to walk into their house. ha He went as a MSU football player.

Reid playing the games at the fall festival at our church.

How cute is Claire and Reid in their MSU outfits. Of course we couldn't get them to look at the same time.

Thanks Pop and Kay-K for a great week....
