Par-TAY... and lots of pictures

This is a post of all sorts of our doings this week.

I went to Reid's Easter party at school and I loved watching him interact with his friends. I loved watching him take direction, pass out candy to other children and not try and eat it. I loved watching him hold hands with his friends and walk, I loved watching him sit at the table and listen to story time and I loved watching him dance to the praise music the teacher would play.

I loved watching him hunt for Easter eggs, this is the first year he understood the concept of picking up the egg and putting it in your basket. He likes to pick up each egg examine it tell me the color of it and then move on. He is very slow but that is ok.

I made his Easter hat for the parade and it was just awful. I am almost too embarrassed to show a picture of it, but memories right.

Meg is doing good we have tried to let her spend a little time in her bed each day. She seems to like it ok, but she doesn't like for any of us to be out of her sight.

We have moved her up to 4 oz every 4 hours and a level 2 nipple. We also changed her to enfamil gentle ease this week and this has really seemed to help with her gas and fussiness.

Sweet Babies

We are just taking it easy this Sunday. Went to church and just enjoying being a family today. It is so hot here already. It goes from cold to hot. I would just love some in between weather.

Reid is still doing good. Not trying much new in the food category, but as long as it has peanut butter I can hide things in it.

So far I hid a scrambled egg in peanut butter on his toast, cheese and ham. I am so thankful his attitude has been pretty good about all of this.

Look at that big boy. He isn't a baby anymore!!!!!

Girls night

Tuesday night we had a fun night out with 10 girlfriends from church with our daughters. I wish I would have taken pictures at dinner. We decided to let all the daughters dress up in whatever they wanted and  sit at a table next to us and just have a girls night. We went to Olive Garden and all the girls had on Disney princess dresses. They had on all their jewelry and the princess shoes. They were all so cute and so well behaved. They ranged in ages 2 to 5. Of course Meg sat at the table with me. It was so much fun just to make it about them. They had a blast. Can't wait to do it again.

Some pictures before I left the house with Meg. Of course Reid never wants to cooperate for pictures. Best I could get.

I see we have the wrong setting on the camera. I hate the red eye.  Oh well not enough time to go back and edit them.

Reid is doing good with his eating.  He is now eating waffles, pancakes, grilled cheese, and peaches.  I know this isn't much but that is a ton more than he was eating. Keep praying for us it is working.  Just going to be a slow process.  We still have a ton of things for him to try.

He won't starve

That's what the doctor said. We are really dealing with some heavy stuff with Reid right now.

Since Reid has been 1 year old he has not eaten table food. Most of this is my fault for giving in to him instead of making him eat the correct things. He never would eat level 3 baby food and since he was 1 he has only eaten turkey sausage. So turkey sausage was given at every meal. He loved snack food, but what child doesn't. He would eat veggie straws, graham crackers, cheerios, teddy grahams, zbars and yogurt.

One of the problems is Reid won't even put the food to his mouth. He is not even willing to try it.  So this has gone on for almost two years. He has been on a waiting list for a food therapist since November and when I talked to them last week there were still 4 people ahead of him.

I have become so frustrated that I called his doctor back and he said you are letting Reid run the show at your house. And I was like you are right he is. He said he won't starve; that you give him what you are eating.

So since Thursday Reid has not had any snacks, but he really hasn't made much progress. He goes almost two days before he is willing to eat anything. It is so bad that his sugar gets so low he has the shakes. It is very pitiful.

We finally got him to eat some nutella on toast, then later we added peanut butter and nutella to his toast and he has nibbled on an apple, banana and strawberry. You can tell he doesn't like the fruit, but he is so hungry he is desperate.

Tonight we gave him ham and of course he wouldn't try it, so I put nutella on top of it and he just pulled the nutella off of it and only ate the nutella. So I made a piece of toast and mixed peanut butter, nutella, cheese and ham together and put it on his toast and he ate two pieces.

Although I feel like it is progress he still isn't eating the way he should.  Just pray it will get better; we are so worried about him.

We tried to keep  Reid very busy all weekend so he wouldn't not cry for food all day. We took him to the beach and for some reason he hated the sand. So he and Justin walked the pier a couple of times and then we swam the next day. He enjoyed that, but his energy level is so low he doesn't really want to do anything. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Meg is 3 months

Happy St. Patricks Day everyone.

Can't believe Meg is 3 months already. She is still so tiny and so sweet. She still loves her paci, but she does have longer spells without it now.

She sleeps all night and she sleeps in her nap nanny next to our bed.  She is no longer swaddled but she is sleeping in a sleep sack. I sewed the arm holes closed so that she has more freedom to move, but not to much. Her arms are still very jerky and they would wake her up all night. She eats 3oz every 4 hours and she is doing better with not spitting up as much anymore. She wears size 1 diaper.
Newborn clothes still fit Meg the best, but she can wear 0 to 3 months.  I am guessing she weighs maybe 9 1/2lbs.

My parents were here last weekend and Mimi was talking to Meg and she laughed out loud for the first time.  She has done it a couple more times since then.  Sweet sweet girl

We take her to church with us now and I keep her with me. I put her in my moby wrap and she is so snug in there that she sleeps the whole time. It works out really well.

Reid is obsessed with Meg's paci. If she cries he calls paci paci over and over till he finds it and either tries to put it in her mouth or brings it to me or Justin.

Justin and Reid were drying off; they had been in the pool

Reid still isn't real sure about holding his sister
