Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peak of Meg's bedding. I love adding pink accents to her room. We go back to the doctor on Monday, I sure hope it is still a girl. We will be blessed either way.

Victoria brought me Claire's newborn clothes and smocked dresses today and I am so thankful for all of these beautiful clothes that she and Angela are letting me use. Reid and I walked into Meg's room today and I said Reid who's room is this and he said baby.

Can't wait to see Meg on Monday; will post some pictures of her after the doctors visit.

Week at the beach

We spent the last week in Perdido, Fl and we had a blast. We stayed with our friends the Waltman's and Sullivan's. It is so fun to go with friends to the beach. There was never a dull moment. Reid loves to swim and play at the beach. Thank goodness I have a baby that loves the sun, water and sand. I can't wait till next year when Meg can come too.

We were able to see some of Justin's cousins, aunt and uncle while we were there.
They were there on their vacation also. That was a nice treat.

Each family was responsible for providing one meal that week and let me tell you the food did not disappoint. We ate good every night. I even got a new recipe out of the deal, enchiladas. They were so good. I can't wait to make them for Justin and I.

I need to post this just so I can remember the night that wasn't to be. I have been so fortunate that since Reid was 4 weeks old he has slept through the night. We had our own room at the beach and the closet was so big that we were able to put Reid in his pack n play in the closet. We would leave one door open, but he could push the other door open when he would wake up and he could see us. He slept great every night until the last night. He woke up at 2am and did not go back to sleep until 5:30. He cried on and off the entire time. I was so frazzled because I did not want him to wake up the other people in the condo. Justin even went out on the balcony to try and get him to settle down. Nothing was working. At one point I asked Justin to take him to the car and put him in his car seat and let them both just sleep in the car. Of course Justin didn't do that, but I was getting desperate. Finally he fell asleep at 5:30 this morning. I was exhausted. I have always wanted Reid to sleep with me, well I can tell you I am over that now. He wanted to sleep on top of me with his arms around my neck. Of course I let him, but that meant no sleep for me. It did make for some great cuddling once he went to sleep.

We are home now and trying to get settled back in our routine. I am glad Reid has his bed back.

Sorry for the picture overload, but I want to remember our trip to the beach.

Meg

Here is Meg's first picture on my blog. Meg is 14 weeks in this picture. I love her sweet profile. Of course I had to add a picture of Reid also. Reid's shirt says Little Fire Cracker and that is no lie. He is a handful these days, but at night he is the best snuggle buddy.

Reid is loving his alphabet right now and every time we lay him on his changing table he looks up at his name and calls out his letters. I love to hear him say his letters.

It's A

GIRL!!!!!!!! Her name will be Meg... Margaret E .. we aren't sure what the E will be yet.

We found out on Wednesday that we are having a girl this Christmas. We are beyond thrilled. I can't believe I have a boy and now a girl. When the ultrasound lady said it was a girl I just started crying. I couldn't believe that God had given me the desires of my heart. It is times like this that I get mad at myself for doubting God. God is bigger than me and he knew the plan all along. I needed to have faith. It is well with my soul. Like my daddy said... "Your family is complete". That is exactly how I feel.

We have known since we got pregnant that once we found out what we were having that we would have a gender reveal party. So tonight some of our closest friends came over. If you thought it was a girl you needed to wear pink and if a boy wear blue.

After everyone got here we let Reid walk out of the bedroom with a pink ball. Of course he didn't want to cooperate. He wanted to stay in the bedroom and throw the ball so I ended up pushing the ball out of the room. Everyone just screamed. I am so excited that God has blessed me with a boy and now a girl.

I looked at Justin tonight and said I can buy a baby doll now. He said YEP. I want to use it so that Reid can start understanding that mommy is going to have a baby. We pointed at my stomach tonight and said Reid what is in mommy's belly and he said baby.

We were so blessed that so many friends came out to support us tonight. Here are some pictures and video from tonight.

Proud Parents in our pink and blue Our boy and girl names we had picked out Everyone that thought it was going to be a boy All the people that were right... Pink was the color of the night This is the ball that Reid showed everyone to let them know that he is a big brother to a sister Everyone's reaction

Toy Room

Big thank you to our friends for the help they put in, in helping us close in our sun room and make it a toy room. We were able to use it just like it was meant to be today when Reid had Claire over to play. She loves him so much and is always making sure he is ok. If he wants a toy she has she gives it to him; I wish he would be as sweet to her.

We found out the gender of our baby yesterday and we are having a gender reveal party Friday night with our closest friends to let everyone know what God has blessed us with. I can't wait to tell everyone. Will post this weekend and let everyone know how the party went.

All I kept thinking last night and today is o ye who have little faith

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm Matthew 8:26

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps,” Proverbs 16:9

What a Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend with Justin's parents. I had a really long to do list for Justin and Pop and they got it all done. I have been trying to get Reid's new toy room finished and it was still lacking the siding on the outside of the house, painting and then the baseboards. Justin's friends Pope and Daniel came over Saturday and helped. Everything was finished except for the baseboards and that is going to be finished on Tuesday. So I will finally have that checked off my list.

I also wanted to start cleaning out the guest room which will be the baby's room soon. We were able to move a trunk up to the attic and some pictures and Kay took home some of the decorations I had in there. Kay and Charlie also bought the baby's crib and changing table this weekend so I am very ready to get that room cleaned out and turn it into a nursery. I am so thankful for them and how great they are to me, Justin and Reid.

They had so much fun playing with Reid. Reid is really into learning new things right now. Some of his favorite things to do right now is to learn his letters. We captured a little video of Reid telling us his letters. It is so funny to us when he says R and O. They make us laugh every time.

The pictures are out of order, but I am to tired to go back and rearrange them.

The finished project on the outside
