I know he is a baby but.....

Today is the first day he has had on "little boy" clothes.... his little gym shorts and muscle shirt made him seem so grown to me today. He is usually in a onsie or a romper and today he put on his big boy play clothes.....

Does he like more grown to you today???

New First's for Reid

The weekend here on the coast started out very rainy, but ended with great weather and time with friends.

Saturday night we went and visited Lance, Victoria and Claire it had been awhile since we were all able to hang out. We had a nice time and it was fun that the babies can finally sit in the floor and play together. Claire is only 6 months old but she is sitting up very good. We only had two problems while we were there.. the first one was their 100 lb lab named Otis. Otis is blind and each time he would come near Reid; Reid would freak out. He would start crying and wanted to get away as fast as possible. Reid loves our dogs, but I guess I would be scared also if a big lab was coming up to me too. The second problem we had was every toy that Claire picked up to play with Reid tried to take it from her. Of course Claire is young enough still that she didn't care, but I can see a problem with this in the future. Reid will need to learn to share.

Sunday we went to church and as we came down from Sunday School we went to check on Reid and they had him out in the hall and he was crying. They said he has been crying the whole time you have been gone. I asked did you give him the bottle and they said yes, but the bottle was clear. I thought for a second and said did you not put the formula in the bottle and they said NO.. we didn't realize the formula wasn't mixed with it. I of course got very upset thinking oh my goodness they just fed Reid a whole bottle of water. What will this do to him? Will he be ok? Ugh I was so upset. I got Reid to stop crying and Justin and I decided we would just keep Reid with us and take him into the balcony for church. Reid had the best time listening to the music and he did very well during the sermon also.

After church we went to see Scott, Angela and Isabel for lunch. Angela made a wonderful meal and we had a great time visiting with them. Reid was able to pet Isabel's rabbit named Easter. He was not afraid at all. I wondered if he thought it was Lucy since the rabbit is solid white. Reid also swung in Isabel's swing for the first time. He liked it for about 3 minutes and then he decided he wasn't so sure about it.

After Reid woke up from his nap he floated on the raft with me in the swimming pool and he loved it. He wanted to get in the water so bad, but it is still too cold for him. I hope the weather will be good next weekend and Reid can get in his kiddie pool. I think he is going to love it.

The most exciting first is that Reid has a tooth that has finally broke the skin. He is 8 1/2 months old and he is doing wonderful. The only thing I have noticed is that he bites on his lip alot. Other than that he has not acted like the tooth has bothered him at all.

Reid is saying da da more and more and of course Justin just loves it. Enjoy the video of our sweet baby saying da da.

Weekend in Amory

Justin and I went to my parents house on Thursday. I grew up in Amory and each year we have a festival called the Amory Railroad Festival where there are lots of arts and crafts and bands playing. So we decided we would go home and take Reid in hopes we would run into alot of my friends who have not had the opportunity to see Reid yet.

It was also a good excuse to go and visit the grandparents... I believe Mimi and Granddaddy had a great time loving on Reid. On Saturday Mimi and Granddaddy were so happy they had both of their grandsons there with them. It was really fun to sit and watch Reid and Blake play together. I can't wait till Reid is older and they are running after each other and playing.

Reid was happy to be with his Mimi (can you tell)

Granddaddy and Reid had a great time

I just loved this picture of Reid and Justin (can you tell which ball he loves)

While we were there we were able to hang out with some good friends and finally get to see Luke. Luke is Pam and Shawn's baby; and he is 6 weeks older than Reid. Pam also had gotten Reid a new car seat and we were excited about picking that up from her and seeing how Reid would enjoy his new big boy car seat.

Here are some pictures of our visit. We had a great time...

8 months Old

8 months ago today was the best day of my life. When I graduated high school I thought that was the best day of my life, when I got married I thought that was the best day of my life. When Reid was born not only was it the best day of my life, but I had a family; my family. I don't think any thing can ever be better than having a child and having your own family.

Reid continues to be the best baby and has the best attitude. He is now sitting alone and will put his knee up under him while on his belly and then roll on his side. He loves to sit in the floor and play with his toys.

He seems to be a picky eater. I haven't found anything that he LOVES....

He is now eating rice cereal, yogurt, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans (he hates) we have to combine them in with other things, prunes, mango's, bananas, pears, peaches and apple sauce. He whines when I put him in his high chair it's like he doesn't care that he is about to eat. He just doesn't seem crazy about eating.

He weighs 22 pounds and will be going to a big boy car seat this weekend. I think he will enjoy being in something bigger and he will have more room. He is in a size 3 diaper and drinks 6 oz of formula 4 times a day.

We are headed home to my parents house this weekend and we can't wait for Reid to see his Granddaddy and Mimi.

My friend Kim came over today to visit Reid and he was laughing at Lucy and doing alot of talking and razzing.

Here is a little video of Reid giggling at Lucy. He loves her so much; every time she comes near him he laughs.

I hope everyone has a good week.

Do you think they will be best friends

I am guessing yes as long as Reid doesn't learn to crawl. Reid loves Lucy so much. He laughs at her everyday when Justin comes home from work. Justin picks Reid up and Lucy has to go and get right in Justin's face so she can say hey to Justin also. Reid gets a complete kick out of it and he will just giggle and giggle. It has become a game everyday.

I couldn't get the camera fast enough where Lucy was on the high chair with Reid. Reid is always reaching out and trying to rub Lucy. Now that Lucy has been groomed Reid doesn't have any hair to grab unto.

Now some of you know I have another dog Sugar well lets just say she keeps her distance from Reid. Reid has already pulled her hair once.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Happy Easter

Reid celebrated his first Easter today. We have been busy all weekend. Our Saturday started with an Easter Egg hunt at our church. We went and Reid did his first craft with Victoria and listened to Jesus Loves me with Angela and Isabel. Reid did good he didn't get upset with all the kids running around until one kid came over and got in his face and said hey and Reid started to cry. The kid looked up at Justin and said what's wrong with him and Justin said he is just shy like his dad. Ha... Other than that Reid enjoyed himself. The pictures below are from the Easter Egg hunt on Saturday.

Our Sunday went really well (until Justin's car broke down with me at the local grocery) and he had to come and get me. We have no idea why it won't crank we just had the transmission rebuilt. Hopefully it is not anything major. Reid got dressed for church and he came to see what the Easter Bunny had brought him. He got a Msu football, Ole Miss basketball (can you tell he is going to be confused) a YO Gabba Gabba dvd, sun glasses and some bubbles. We were in a hurry so we didn't get any good pictures; below are the only ones we got. Also we recorded video of Reid's first Easter.

I love this picture we finally caught his smile on camera

Enjoy the video. I hope everyone had a great Easter. We will enjoy some ham and mashed potatoes later tonight for dinner.
