My sweet baby Reid is 3

Reid turned 3 last Saturday, Aug 11 and he had a swim party. Anytime you plan an outside party you are left with no control over the weather and here lately it has rained here everyday, but thankfully it is always a shower and then it moves on. The day of Reid's party was no exception except it decided to rain that morning during the party. I had been really worried about the non swimmers and how hot it would be on them. Well God heard my worries and it was not very hot, but it did rain on and off during the party. It didn't stop some determined children from swimming and having a good time.

He had a Thomas the Train bday party and it turned out so cute. My friend Jennifer had all the creative ideas for his party. Anytime you asked Reid who was coming to his party he would say "Thomas, Percy, James, Gordon" he would never call his friends names. It was so cute. Everyone came that was invited and they showed Reid so much love.

We had to move the party inside but we didn't let the rain ruin our fun. We had a family party the night before since we had all our family in town. Reid loved his cupcakes and had so much fun opening his presents. I am so thankful the Thomas phase will be here to stay. I believe little boys like trains for many years.

Reid weighed 35lbs which was 80th percentile and was 39 inches tall which is the 85th percentile.

Reid is not fully potty trained but he is very close.. he has trouble going to bathroom in a public restroom. We don't trust him fully yet so he wears his pullup and underwear out in public but we always come home wet. I am just thankful he does good at home and he is finally interested.

He still doesn't eat well at all. He only eats waffles and peanut butter (3 meals a day). We have been researching Sensory Processing Disorder and we think since Reid shows many of the characteristics that maybe that is contributing to the eating problem. We will be seeing a pediatrician that deals more in that area hopefully by the end of the year.

He is sleeping in a big boy bed and seems to do fine in it. He hardly ever goes to sleep at nap time anymore. When he doesn't nap it makes for an easy bed time. He goes to bed between 6 and 7 on the nights he doesn't nap. He is so tired that it doesn't take him long to fall asleep.

He starts school in Sept. He will go three half days a week. I think he will do fine in school. Thank goodness he already knows all of his letters, numbers and colors.  I am wanting to start letting him learn to trace letters soon.  His teacher came to visit and we really liked her and she was very sweet and patient with Reid. She played trains with him while he was here and he even gave her a hug and kiss when she was leaving.

Reid loves his sister and loves to get his stool and look in her bed in the mornings when we get her up. She is starting to get mobile and I can tell he is going to have a hard time sharing his toys.

Meg 6 months old

Warning picture overload..

We had Meg's 6 month pictures made and I have posted lots of my favorites....

Meg had her 6 month check up and everything was right on track. Meg weighed 16.9 lbs wich is the 60th percentile... She has certainly caught up she was 25 1/2 inches tall which was 30th percentile She is eating level 2 baby food and drinking an 8oz bottle every 4 hours.

We finally put her in her own bed. We lay her down around 8 pm and she sometimes cries for about 10 to 30 minutes and then she sleeps all night. It has been so nice having her in her room and sleeping all night... Interupted sleep is so hard.

She can sit pretty good alone but not for long periods of time.

Reid loves her so much but when he feels he needs attention he tells me "Meg in her seat and points to her car seat or her swing."

Meg has completed our family and we can't imagine life without her.

So behind.. Lots of posts coming... Meg's Dedication

I am so behind that I am mainly posting pictures so that I can catch up.

We dedicated Meg when she was 6 months old and it was Father's Day. We dedicated Reid Mother's day so we thought father's day would be fitting for Meg to be dedicated. It was a very sweet and special day.

We wanted Reid to be with us, but was very worried how Reid would do. Wasn't sure that he would stand still or be quiet. For the most part he did good. I had Kristi (pastors wife) take him off stage once he started misbehaving.

Dedicating your child to the Lord is something Justin and I both take very seriously and feel very privileged to raise our children.

Enjoy the pictures
