Kiss

Boy, I am doing good two post in one day; or is it that Reid is doing good and allowed mommy some computer time.

Justin said Reid gets so excited when this song comes on Yo Gabba Gabba that I had to come and check it out. We upgraded to Dish Network so now we get Nick Jr and Yo Gabba Gabba comes on that station. Justin and Reid have a routine every night of watching the cartoon. I personally never watch it.

Here is a video of Reid dancing to his favorite song on Yo Gabba Gabba and at the end Reid is blowing me a kiss and then he puckers up for another kiss. He just learned to blow kisses two days ago so I would say he is doing pretty good with the concept.

Enjoy the video (mom I know you are going to say it isn't long enough, but the battery was dying on the camera so you will have to wait till Thursday when you can see him)

Justin and I have decided that Reid looks like his brother Steve in this video.

Fun

We have had a few good days. As you can see from the pictures below he has been a ball player, a swimmer and found a new play area. We went swimming this morning and the weather was so nice. We went with Angela, Isabel, Claire, Kristi and Amelia Rose. We had a lot of fun and Reid really just wanted to be in my lap loving on me the whole time. I really didn't mind at all. ha

Reid's Kay-K and Pop got Reid the St. Louis Cardinal outfit when they went to St. Louis and Reid's Aunt Laurie sent this swim suit for his birthday.

I think Reid looks so handsome in the first picture of him in his swim suit and the picture where Reid has his hands on his face reminds me of myself for some reason. I never think Reid looks like me, but some reason this picture just reminds me of some of my baby pictures I have seen of myself.

My Favorite

These are my favorite people and my favorite fur babies. Reid's favorite thing to do is look at the door and watch the traffic go by. Today the dogs decided they would join him. I feel so blessed everyday that I have a wonderful husband and a wonderful son. I can't really sing Lucy's praises today because while we were gone to Sam's today Lucy chewed up some of Reid's balls and put a hole in Reid's Mickey Mouse Ball house we just bought him. Justin is trying to repair the holes with some patches. Thank goodness the ball house has 8 blow up chambers and the holes are in the bottom of the house.

Justin and I thought it would be funny to see how his face would look if he grew a beard. He hasn't shaved in over a week. Not sure how much longer he will let it grow.

We will start packing next week as we get ready to leave for N. MS. and TN. to see family. We are super excited that we will get to spend time with Justin's brother Steve, Laurie and our nieces. I can't wait to see how Reid acts with the girls.

Tonight I am going to a girls night out with some friends from church. We have so much fun when we all get together. I am so glad Justin doesn't mind watching Reid while I get out for awhile.

I heard a great piece of news today. Gulfport is getting a Toys R Us.. I am so excited about this. Right before Christmas perfect timing.

Hope you have a great weekend..... It is raining here today

Ready to Play

Reid was up bright and early this morning. I guess he was excited about a cute little blonde and brunette he gets to play with today. We are headed to our friend Angela's house to play with Isabel and Claire. I guess I could tell the truth here and say I am super excited about the play date as well. We always have a good time and it is a great experience for Reid. He has done so well. He is pretty much a lone ranger though. He plays well by himself and loves to watch the other girls run and holler "there is a monster" the hollering doesn't bother him at all. But o lord don't let Claire cry because if she does then Reid will cry. I guess you could say Reid already likes older girls. O well we can talk about that in another 20 years or so. He can be a mama's boy for the rest of his life and I would be ok with that.

Does he look like he is excited to go and play?

Balls

Reid loves to play with balls. He is normally trying to crawl through the house with 2 balls; one in each hand. He loves to get matching balls and bang them together.

Since Reid has a love for balls; I told my friend Trina to buy Reid a bag of balls for his birthday. Also, because of Justin's love of Mickey Mouse and my love of no mess we found this Mickey blow up ball house for Reid to play with the 120 balls he now has.

Needless to see this has been a lifesaver for us today. Today is the first time Reid actually played by himself. We have had such a tough week that I am hoping this ball house will be an answered prayer for awhile.

The only thing is I think my living room has turned into a play room, but that is where we spend most of our time; so for now I guess I will just deal with it.

Here are some pictures and video from today with Reid playing with the balls for the first time. He was so busy playing with the balls we could hardly get him to look up at us.

Last Few Days

The last few days have been really tough. Reid has been really needy and hasn't wanted anyone but his mama. Most days I would be totally ok with that, but when it is 24/7 I have a hard time with it. From the moment his Kay-K and Pop walked out of the door Monday morning he has needed constant attention.

Reid has always been one that would play in the floor independently and of course he never cried, but this week has not been like that. He cries if I put him down, he cries if I leave the room (which makes going to the bathroom impossible) he cries if I am not in the floor playing with him, he cries when I am in the floor with him. So, needless to stay I don't know what has gotten into Reid. The saving grace is he has been taking great naps, Monday and Tuesday he slept for 3 hours and then Wed and Thurs he slept 2 1/2 hours.

By the time Monday night had gotten here I told Justin I just didn't think he could go to his bible study, because I really needed a break. Thankfully my good friend Kim called and wanted to see Reid so Reid and I went and visited Kim and her husband Allen so they entertained Reid for 2 1/2 hours and let me just sit and watch. We had a great visit and I so enjoyed the break.

Tuesday wasn't much better, but at least Justin would be home that night so that I could have a break and Wed was a little better and today was much better. But of course Reid and I went out and ran errands this morning and twice someone stopped me and said SHE is so pretty how old is SHE and I said HE is one.. and they of course apologized. Look at the pictures below he was not dressed like a girl; so not sure why people keep thinking he is a girl.

I am very thankful Justin is off on Friday's and we will both be able to entertain Reid so the weekend should be fine.

Does this baby look happy

Poor baby

He loves to look outside

After we ran errands today... Doesn't he look a lot happier

Have a good weekend

Reid's birthday party

We celebrated Reid's birthday on Saturday at home. We had lots of friends over to celebrate and it was such a success. I was afraid that Reid would be overwhelmed with so many people, but he only got upset a couple of times. I was singing the song earlier in that day "it's my party and I can cry if I want too" because I just knew with all the people and children that Reid would cry. To my surprise he did GREAT.. I was so proud of him.

The party was at 2 and we actually had to wake him up 10 minutes before the party; so I felt good that he had a good nap and should be fine. We had around 26 people at the party and around 8 kids. The party was a frog theme and I thought it turned out great.

I made a couple of dips and a cheese ball and we had lemonade, tea and water. Reid's cake turned out so cute and it tasted so good.

Reid did not dig into his cake much, I think he mainly ate some icing and never did make it to the cake portion.

We have a ton of pictures and video from the party. I am so glad we will have these memories for a life time.

The pictures are out of order for some reason...

This is Reid giving a kiss. It is the cutest thing when he puckers up his lips and throws his head up in the air.
