With Reid being the only child he is not the best at sharing his mama, his toys or his chair. This is something we have really been working on, but when he doesn't have a friend over that often it is hard to teach him.
Today Victoria had some things to do so I watched Claire for a bit. I always enjoy it, because it gives Reid an opportunity to learn and share. They are together every Wed and Sunday at church, but it is different being at church. When you are around your own stuff it is harder for him to share.
The morning didn't start out that great; everything Claire took, Reid wanted. If Claire came to close to Reid, he would put his hand up to block her and sometimes try and kick her. Of course this makes me furious. I think he should be sweet to her like she is to him. She loves him and just wants to play.
If Claire would sit next to him on the couch he would get up and move or try and block her from getting next to him. After disciplining him half the morning he finally turned the corner.
I caught them sitting in the same chair together "his chair" at that and reading a book and then they were actually playing together was his blocks. I know Reid has a long way to go, but maybe after spending a week together at the beach maybe he will be better.
Excuse the room this is Reid's new playroom that we have enclosed and still working on. Also, Reid mainly has girls to play with and I thought it was so funny he was trying to put on Claire's headband. His daddy won't be happy about this picture, but I thought it was funny.
I did manage to take some sweet pictures of them playing and them making up.
Sharing, especially your own toys, is a difficult lesson for toddlers. Love the last picture!! So glad they "kissed and made up."
ReplyDeleteLove our Reid. Give him a hug/kiss for us.

Cissy,
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment on Julee's site. Congratulations! I found your blog through your sister-in-law and as I have said many times, Reid is simply the cutest little guy!
