We have had a fun busy December. Reid was in his first performance at church. They sang two Christmas songs, Go Tell it on the Mountain and Away in a Manager. While they sang Away in a Manger all the mama's played handbells. It was a special time. I thought Reid would be nervous, but turns out he was a Ham up there. He waved and hollered out to his daddy "Hey Daddy" and just waived. Everyone laughed. He was not shy at all. He danced and watched all the other children to make sure they were singing.
We had Meg's birthday party and then we went to see Santa. He is really excited about Christmas this year. He loves to see Santa on tv, talk about Santa and is excited about blowing out the candles for Jesus's birthday. He kept telling everyone that it was Meg's birthday and Jesus's birthday.
We took Reid and Meg to see Santa at the mall after Meg's party. I really didn't think Reid would sit in Santa's lap much less talk to him, but he did great. I was shocked and I was even more shocked that Meg did it too. If you look at the pictures you can see Meg wasn't sure at first and then she started smiling.
We also went to church to the Deacon's banquet. It was a fun time and nice to get dressed up.
We took Reid to see Disney on Ice. He wasn't very sure about it at first. He wanted to go home; I think because it was so loud but once he got use to it he settled down and he would waive at Mickey and Minnie. Our favorite parts were Cars and Toy Story. We weren't into Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell. That was a good reminder that I am a mama of a boy. We haven't gotten into those movies yet. Now that we have Meg I am sure that will be coming soon.
We are very excited about Sunday after church we have reservations to have lunch with Santa. I am thinking Reid is going to LOVE it. I can't wait. This is the first year Reid has gotten it and it has been so magical this year to see Christmas through his eyes. He loves going to look at Christmas lights.
I can't wait for Christmas morning.
